Imagine a place where children can explore the outdoors, stay active, and fall in love with reading all at the same time.
Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis is raising funds to install a StoryWalk along the Route 66 Nature Trail. A StoryWalk transforms a children's book into an interactive outdoor experience by placing pages of the story along a walking path. Families move from panel to panel, reading the story as they enjoy nature together.
This project will provide a free, year-round activity for local children and visiting families. It encourages literacy, promotes healthy outdoor recreation, and creates meaningful opportunities for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to spend quality time with the children in their lives.
Our goal is to raise $12,000 to purchase and install durable StoryWalk display panels that will serve our community for years to come. The stories will be changed throughout the year, giving families a reason to return again and again.
Every dollar donated helps create a space where children can learn, imagine, explore, and grow. Your contribution will help make reading more accessible, more engaging, and more fun for families throughout our community.
Together, we can turn a simple walk into an adventure and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
Thank you for supporting the children and families of Kingman. ❤️📚🌵

Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis is a branch of Kiwanis International, a global volunteer organization that annually raises more than US$100 million and dedicates more than 18.5 million service hours to strengthen communities and help children. We offer opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to serve, and club members sponsor more than 150,000 community service projects each year.

Volunteering improves mental health and contributes to higher levels of happiness, self-esteem, self-worth and life satisfaction. Service organizations help to galvanize communities in times of need and contribute to economic growth through community investment. Volunteering develops life skills and leadership abilities and can lead to employment opportunities.

Kiwanis programs for youth and young adults help to create the next generation of community leaders. For instance, Key Club, the world’s oldest and largest service organization for high school students, encourages leadership development through service to others. And programs like Bring Up Grades empower children to be accountable for themselves so they succeed in life.

Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis Club was chartered on February 5th, 1997.
